Auditions

Rockhampton Regional Council’s annual Community Musical brings together local performers, creatives and theatre lovers for a major community production. Auditions are now open for the 2027 Community Musical, Disney’s Frozen.

Auditions will be held from Friday 2 October to Sunday 4 October 2026 at 62 Victoria Parade (next to the Pilbeam Theatre).

Applications close: Wednesday 30 September 2026.

Who can audition

Performers of all ethnicities are encouraged to audition and are eligible to be considered for all roles. Character age ranges and gender identities refer to the characters. Performers outside these age ranges, or whose gender identities differ from the characters, may still be considered based on their audition preferences and the spirit and intent of the original work.

Applicants must be aged over 18 years as at the first rehearsal on Sunday 10 January 2027, except for the youth roles of Young Elsa and Young Anna. Applicants for Young Elsa and Young Anna must be aged 8 to 14 years as at Sunday 10 January 2027. A parent or guardian must sign the Community Musical Audition Application Form for applicants under 18.

Audition dates and location

Audition dates: Friday 2, Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026

Audition location: 62 Victoria Parade, Rockhampton — Old Art Gallery Building next to Pilbeam Theatre

Dance audition: Sunday 4 October 2026, 9:00am to 12:00pm

Call backs: Sunday 4 October 2026, 1:30pm to 6:00pm

Applications close: Wednesday 30 September 2026
