A Simple Three-Step Application Process

See It Local is designed to help artists develop strong projects. The application process focuses on collaboration and project planning rather than complex grant writing.

Step 1 – Submit an Expression of Interest

Tell us about:

  • The program stream you're applying for
  • Your project idea
  • Your intended audience
  • The support you need

Expressions of Interest help determine project suitability and resource needs. EOIs are not competitively assessed.

Step 2 – Development Meeting

Eligible applicants will be invited to meet with Council's Development and Programs Officer.

During this meeting you'll:

  • Discuss your project
  • Refine development goals
  • Identify mentoring needs
  • Explore venue and equipment requirements
  • Confirm timelines and project feasibility

   

Step 3 – Submit Your Full Application

Following the development meeting, applicants will be invited to complete a full application.

Applications are assessed on:

  • Artistic merit
  • Creativity
  • Alignment with the selected stream
  • Feasibility
  • Development potential
  • Community and cultural value
