Director

The Director is responsible for shaping and realising the overall creative vision of the production, including its atmosphere, storytelling and use of theatrical space.

• Interprets the production in terms of both physical and verbal action.
• Leads rehearsals, including calling rehearsals, blocking scenes and coaching performers.
• Manages the audition process and cast selection.
• Applies strong technical understanding to realise the production’s creative vision across design and theatrical elements.
• Oversees the execution of all musical aspects of the production throughout rehearsals and performances.
• Upholds standards of behaviour as expected by a Council contractor.

PLEASE NOTE: The Director role is remunerated.
