With an all-killer, no-filler cast of Australian stars, talented newcomers and international performers we’ve got all your comedy bases covered. Featuring everything from stand-up to sketch, slapstick to song, each individual line-up presents the best of the Festival in one hilarious show.
Dave Callan is the Irish born Melbourne comic who is best known for his roles on Rove Live and Triple J. Over the years he has popped up on Good News Week, Hey Hey its Saturday, Spicks and Specks, The Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Good Morning Australia with Bert Newton. Dave regular performs corporate hosting and comedy in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia and is a regular on the festival circuit.
CARL DONNELLY (UK)
An Edinburgh Fringe favourite, Carl’s style of comedy has landed him nominations for the Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2013 and for Best Newcomer in 2009. He has won Best Newcomer at The Chortle Awards (2007), Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year (2007) and Laughing Horse New Act of the Year (2006). Known internationally as well as in the UK, Carl has performed at some of the biggest comedy festivals in the world including; Montreal Just for Laughs, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival and Kilkenny Cat Laughs.
With an impressive and an extraordinary ability to use humor to break down barriers and stereotypes as well as provoke thought in any audience, Andy Saunders takes satire to new heights. Trenchant observations of human behavior and sharp material combined with skills in attracting and holding the interest and attention of audiences of all ages are a powerful combination. Andy has quickly become one of the most popular and successful acts performing around the country today at a variety of events and venues.
DANIEL FERNANDEZ (India)
Daniel Fernandes is one of India’s leading English Stand-Up comedians. He is a regular at comedy venues across the country and has performed internationally at comedy festivals in the Netherlands Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. Daniel’s material is a mix of observational, political and dark humour with a dash of social commentary. His self-titled YouTube channel currently at 8 million views has been a huge hit with fans in India and abroad particularly for his bold material.
SHARUL CHANNA (Singapore)
Hit of Comedy Zone Asia 2016 at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and on the Roadshow across Australia, Sharul Channa (Singapore) is a stand-up comic with razor sharp wit. Sharul is a TV regular who has performed for shows at the Comedy Lounge in Perth and Sydney in 2013 and at the Georgetown Festival in Penang 2013.
